Duncan Ferguson can clean up Rangers mess as Hotline makes bold prediction over return of two Ibrox heroes

Hurricane Duncan has hit the Highlands and it will be fascinating to see if he can help Inverness Caledonian Thistle storm their way to the Scottish Premiership.

But a couple of Hotliners reckon Big Dunc has his eyes on Ibrox while trying to turn around the fortunes of ICT. Big Duncan Ferguson as Inverness Caledonian Thistle's new manager is a brave appointment by the board and I take my hat off to them, knowing the history between big Dunc and the Scottish football hierarchy. Or is he just using Caley Thistle as a stepping stone to test the waters, then the bigger picture is to be Rangers manager one day?" Neil Renton, Leith, added: "Big Duncan Ferguson going to Caley Thistle is a great move for the maverick but I don’t think he’ll be there for too long. He’ll win two games and end up getting the Rangers job."

Rangers fans continue to be unhappy with the man currently holding the position. Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, emailed: "Hotline callers George McLeish and Jimmy Mac, both Gers men, summed up Michael Beale's time in charge. George says it's one of Rangers worst teams he's seen in 65 years, Jimmy comments about Beale's nine signings while letting better players go. I agree, especially Alex Lowry, a player I liked, on loan at Hearts who was superb in the cup tie against Killie. Beale is solely responsible for this £14million mess up."
