Danilo offers Rangers injury update as striker has surgery on gruesome compound fracture
Defiant Danilo has revealed he is raring for a quick-fire Rangers after having instant surgery on the gruesome compound fracture suffered against St Johnstone.
The 24-year-old scored the opener in the 2-0 win over Saints before instantly being left decked as he and Liam Gordon suffered agony as their heads collided. News over the severity of the clash quickly followed with the former Feyenoord and Ajax man heading straight to hospital. And he has promised Rangers punters he will strive to return as quickly as possible after images showed the extent of the damage as his left eye was left closed and covered in bruising.
Danilo, posting on Instagram, said: "Never give in, never back down! A small surgery for my head injury, but I’m good and I hope to be back on the field as soon as possible. Thank you all for the concern and support."
