Dana White's pick for fight he most regrets not making would've been absolute blockbuster

Dana White has put together some incredible fight cards in his time as president of the UFC.

Managing to create some stellar match-ups that bring in the pay per view figures, and dollars that have helped make the UFC the stand out provider of mixed martial arts entertainment in the world.

The pinnacle was actually a boxing match, between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

The Notorious continues to be the biggest draw in the UFC and Dana White has played no small part in helping to make him the star he is.

For all of those title matchups, redemption stories, grudge matches and block buster fights Dana White admitted he did have one regret.

The fight that he wanted to make happen but couldn’t get over the line. That was a heavy-weight clash between Fedor Emelianenko and Brock Lesnar.

Speaking to Laura Sank, per BJ Penn, White said:

“I’ve made every fight that was ever possible to make in MMA including Mayweather and McGregor. The only fight that I ever failed to make was Fedor vs. Brock.

“Every other fight that we ever thought about or fans wanted to see or whatever it was, I made. That’s probably the one I couldn’t pull off.”

Emelianenko finished with a 40-6 fighting across a range of MMA organisations without every fighting under the UFC banner.

He held heavyweight title belts for both PRIDE and WAMMA but was immune to White’s charms. Whilst Brock Lesnar used his high profile as a star performer as a wrestler in the WWE to launch his mixed martial arts career.

In his 9 fight career with the organisation he won the UFC heavyweight title with his strike heavy, bulldozing style.

White’s answer was far from a universal choice with many fight fans more disappointed in not having seen Anderson Silva vs Georges
