Dan Gore should listen to the transfer message from two of his Manchester United teammates

Dan Gore could leave Manchester United on loan in January and the midfielder has seen the benefits of regular football in two other young Reds.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from Championship outfit Preston North End, who have expressed an initial interest in taking him on loan for the second half of the season. Ryan Lowe's side are currently eighth in the table and looking to bolster their squad ahead of a play-off push.

Gore made his senior debut for United in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace in September but is yet to build on the sole appearance. He has been a regular in matchday squads but the easing of injury woes among senior players will likely see him drop out.

And so Gore could be left with a decision to make come January: stay at United and bide your time for another shot in the first team or look for more regular minutes elsewhere. Other young Reds have found success with the latter in recent seasons, not least Alvaro Fernandez who also joined Preston.

The 20-year-old enjoyed an excellent campaign at Deepdale, playing 39 times in the Championship and winning the club's Young Player of the Year award. He spoke glowingly of his temporary home after returning to United in May.

“An amazing season with PNE has come to an end," he wrote on Instagram. "I've learnt so much and made incredible memories here.

“To all of the staff and my teammates, I want to say a massive thank you. The first loan is never easy but you made everything perfect for me and my family and helped me develop as a player so much.”

Fernandez wasn't the only United loanee to star in
