Cyclist seriously hurt in Handford crash

A cyclist was seriously hurt in a crash in Handforth. Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses.

In a statement Cheshire Constabulary said: "At 10.38am this morning (Saturday 14 September) a blue Citroen C4 Grand Picasso was travelling along Wilmslow Road when it was in collision with a cyclist. The cyclist, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries."

It is understood the incident was near the town centre.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage which may help the investigation to contact police on 101 or via www.cheshire.police/tell-us/ quoting IML 1918024.
