Curtis Warren: The 30 rules drug trafficker and killer known by Interpol as 'Target One' must obey

A drug trafficker and killer who was once included in the Sunday Times Rich List has been made subject to 30 different orders after his release from prison in November last year.

It comes as the National Crime Agency recently published a full list of preventive orders imposed upon the most serious offenders. The orders, known as ancillary orders, are designed to stop criminality, both in and out of prison.

Curtis Warren, once dubbed "Target One" by Interpol, is subject to as many as 30 serious crime prevention orders (SCPOs) - more than any other convicted criminal currently listed on the NCA's ancillary order register.

Originally from Liverpool, Warren, who was once included in the Sunday Times Rich List with a £200m fortune, served 14 years in prison for drug trafficking offences, the ECHO reports.

Warren, now 60, was jailed in Holland in 1996 for a £125m cocaine importation scheme. While in prison, Warren, nicknamed "Cocky", killed fellow prisoner Cemal Guclu by kicking him in the head after the Turkish convicted killer attacked him in the prison yard. Warren was convicted of manslaughter for using "excessive violence" and was handed an extra four years.

Warren was briefly a free man upon his release in 2007 and returned to the UK, but after only five weeks he was arrested over a plot to smuggle cannabis worth £1m into Jersey. He later had 10 years added onto his sentence for failing to pay back £198m as part of a Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation order.
