Crystal Palace vs Manchester United live early team news plus Fernandes updates and how to watch

Manchester United can move back up to sixth in the Premier League table this evening by beating Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

United dropped two places in the table over the weekend despite not being in action. Newcastle and Chelsea both recorded emphatic wins to leapfrog United, meaning Ten Hag's side currently sit in eighth position.

Never in the Premier League era have United finished lower than seventh, and so a win tonight could be key as they aim to secure a place in the Europa League next season.

Ten Hag confirmed on Thursday that Bruno Fernandes is a doubt for the game and that a layer decision would be made on Scott McTominay. The news that Jonny Evans is set to return this evening became even more of a boost on Sunday night when it was revealed Harry Maguire had picked up a knock and will be out for three weeks. Marcus Rashford is also not unavailable for the trip to the capital.

Ethan Wheatley became the 250th United academy player to make his debut in the 4-2 victory over Sheffield United.

Less than two weeks on, could we be set for number 251? Toby Collyer was pictured travelling down to London with the United squad earlier today.

Collyer has already been named in four United matchday squads but is yet to make his debut. The 20-year-old was an unused substitute in four games running earlier this season - against Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Everton - and looks set to be named in the squad this evening.
