Erik ten Hag press conference live Manchester United updates and team news for FA Cup final

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will speak to journalists on Thursday afternoon as he prepares to face Man City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.

United ended the Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Brighton thanks to goals from Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund, which were scored in the second half. Although a victory was claimed on the final day of the campaign, United finished eighth in the table and must win the FA Cup to qualify for European competition next term.

United are the underdogs heading into the FA Cup final against City on Saturday, despite Pep Guardiola's players having celebrated their title win in Manchester city centre.

City became the first team to win four successive Premier League titles and are looking for a domestic double at Wembley in a repeat of last season's FA Cup final.

Ten Hag will look ahead to that clash and provide an update on the relevant team news.

Kieran McKenna is open to taking over as United manager should Erik ten Hag leave the club after the FA Cup final.

Former United coach and boyhood fan McKenna could leave Ipswich Town after guiding them to Premier League promotion amid interest from United, Chelsea and Brighton.

Brighton earmarked McKenna as their preferred choice to replace Roberto de Zerbi but it is understood they could be trumped by Chelsea or United. Sources say Chelsea have already held discussions with McKenna's representatives but he is reluctant to rush into a decision amid the possibility of a managerial change at United, who are believed to be his ideal destination.
