Crystal Palace vs Man City highlights and reaction as Erling Haaland scores late penalty

Manchester City closed the gap on Arsenal overnight with a hard-fought three points at Crystal Palace this evening.

City travelled to Selhurst Park knowing a win would put them within two points of Arsenal, with the Gunners not playing until Sunday. This was City's final Premier League fixture before the international break, with Arsenal playing twice more - adding to the importance of the fixture.

Pep Guardiola left Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne out of the starting line up, recalling John Stones and Bernardo Silva.

It was a tough clash with Palace, who defended resolutely, but City persevered and got their reward when Ilkay Gundogan won a penalty in the second half and Erling Haaland cooly converted.

Follow below for pre-match build-up, live match updates and post-match reaction from Selhurst Park.

Dias: Calm, composed but never casual. Dias didn't let anything past him all day. 7

Ake: Very good again pushing forward into the box and generally sound defensively, albeit booked for one late lunge. 7
