Crash causes long delays on M4
There were long delays on a section of the M4 in south Wales following a collision on Wednesday afternoon. The slip road on the westbound side of the motorway at junction 36 was closed, with motorists being warned of queues in the area.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported on Wednesday afternoon: “M4 Westbound exit slip road closed queueing traffic, one lane closed due to recovery work and accident at J36 A4061 (Bridgend/Sarn Service Area). Congestion to J35 (Pencoed). Lane one (of three) is closed as well as a full closure of the exit slip road.”
Shortly after 7pm on Wednesday evening, Inrix reported: M4 Westbound lane re-opened on exit slip road, recovery work completed and accident cleared at J36 A4061 (Bridgend / Sarn Service Area). The exit slip road was fully closed until just before 18:15 when a lane opened past the scene. All restrictions were lifted just before 7pm."
