Coventry City 3-3 Swansea City: Piroe, Fulton and Cullen strike to earn dramatic point

Swansea City produced an astonishing fightback to come from three goals down and earn a dramatic 3-3 draw at Coventry City.

The Swans were second best for long periods at the CBS Arena and fell behind courtesy of Jonathan Panzo's first-half header. Jamie Allen added a stunning second for the home side before the brilliant Viktor Gyokeres netted a third against his old club.

Following an alarmingly blunt display, Swansea threw caution to the wind and pulled a goal back through Joel Piroe before Jay Fulton rifled home to set-up a tense finish. And substitute Liam Cullen poked home six minutes from time to earn the Swans a share of the spoils following a heroic late effort.

Russell Martin made just one alteration to the side that started in the 1-0 loss against his former club Norwich City a week earlier - with Olivier Ntcham coming in for Luke Cundle who dropped to the bench.

Coventry's squad boasted no fewer than three former Swans. Jake Bidwell and Gyokeres both started while Kasey Palmer was listed among the substitutes.

The playing styles made for an open game, and the first chance fell to the visitors from a swift counter, although Piroe could only scuff his shot after being teed up by Coventry-born Jamie Paterson.

Mark Robins' side wasted no time in showing why they have surged up the Championship table of late though, with Gyokeres - who tested Steven Benda from a tight angle early on - causing problems throughout with his physicality and ability to run the channels.
