Corrie star tries out new look for her character as she asks fans and says 'I don't know'

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher asked fans a question as she tried out a new look for her character. Mollie, who plays Nina Lucas in the Salford-based soap, was playing around with her newly blonde hair as she took to Instagram to ask what her followers think.

Mollie was sporting a fringe in a video clip, until she sprang a surprise and unclipped it. "Fringe for Nina or no fringe for Nina" she wrote across the clip. And she was clearly in a dilemma as she asked outloud: "Does she? I don't know. Let's see."

Mollie, 25, has played goth Nina, the niece of cafe owner Roy Cropper, since 2019. Recently she switched her raven locks for icy blonde.

Earlier this month fans were stunned as Mollie was voted off the ITV skating contest Dancing On Ice in the semi-final. Supporters claimed that the actress was "undermarked" after she performed an emotional skate to My Immortal by Evanescence with her pro partner Sylvain Longchambon in honour of her emotional Corrie storyline.

In May 2021 Nina and her boyfriend Seb Franklin were attacked by a vile gang on their way home. Nina was hospitalised and Seb died after sustaining horrific injuries. Mollie won Best Serial Drama Performance after taking centre stage for the hate crime storyline in memory of goth Sophie Lancaster.

The ITV soap worked with The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, set up by Sophie's mum Sylvia who passed away in April last year.
