Corporation Road in Newport closed after late night crash – latest updates

Gwent Police have closed Corporation Road in Newport, between Telford Street and Cromwell Road, due to a road traffic accident.

Local residents have been advised to avoid the area and make alternative plans if they are travelling in that part of the town.

It is unclear how long the road will be closed for, but it is expected to remain shut until the early hours of Wednesday morning (March 1).
