Coronation viewers confused as Prince Louis 'disappears' during King's coronation ceremony

Royal fans were left impressed by five-year-old Prince Louis’s military-style outfit as he arrived for the King's Coronation, but were left wondering where he had gone after appearing to disappear halfway through the ceremony.

During part of the historic occasion, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot the young Prince wasn’t sitting alongside his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

“Where did Prince Louis go?,” one viewer asked on social media. Another queried: “Where has that cheeky little Prince Louis gone? Impeccable behaviour.”

Another said: “Where’s Prince Louis gone? He was seated beside his sister and between their parents for The Coronation but the cameras just went to their seats (12:40pm) and he ain’t there. Guessing it was all a bit too much for him.”

Thankfully, the young Prince’s absence was only short with him reappearing some minutes later. The Mirror reports that the reason why he was not seen watching the service is all to do with his age.

He processed into the Abbey with his family - but due to still being young, he was "retired" during the service, in a move that was pre-planned. It came after the youngster was seen yawning and fidgeting during the service.

During the first half of the ceremony, he could be seen letting out a big yawn, while also taking the opportunity to point out something of interest to his sister Charlotte. He yawned again shortly after the King was crowned, just after midday.
