Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien was left saying 'I wish' as fans responded to her 'home' change. While the actress will no doubt be sprinkling her real-life abode with a bit of festive magic, it was actually her alter-ego's home that was getting a makeover.

Over on Instagram, Tina, who is famed for playing Sarah Barlow - nee Platt -in the ITV soap, responded to a post from Corrie's social media team as they filmed her character's flat being transformed for Christmas.

A snow-frosted tree could be seen being decked out with golden fairy lights before midnight blue, gold and silver baubles were added to the branches and a star was placed on the top.

A garland was also spotted around the fireplace while other decorations, such as a wreath on the door and a little tealight village on the table, were dotted about the flat. "The Christmas countdown has officially begun, and our festive helpers are busy transforming Weatherfield into a winter wonderland!" the caption of the post read.

Corrie then asked: "Have you put your tree up yet? #Corrie," while the caption of the post confirmed it was Sarah's flat at 7 Redbank Apartments.

And Tina was quick to respond to the post with the soap star typing in the comments section; "I wish Tina’s house was as decorated as Sarah’s," alongside a string of faces with their tongues sticking out.
