Corrie star Daniel Brocklebank enjoys birthday celebration with past and present cast mates

Coronation Street actor Daniel Brocklebank has told his fans he feels 'very loved' after soap stars past and present turned out for his birthday celebrations. Corrie star was joined by the likes of Catherine Tyldesley who played Eva Price, Tony Maudsley, who plays undertaker George Shuttleworth and Daniel's on screen partner Peter Ash, who plays Paul Foreman.

Sharing a collection of pictures on Instagram of the intimate dinner party, Daniel, who is known for playing Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, he also shared a message saying: "Beautiful birthday shenanigans...I feel very loved! Thank you all so much."

ITV soap fans were overjoyed this year to see the character marry boyfriend Paul, played by Peter Ash. But it's no secret that there are tough times ahead for the newlyweds.

Paul was given the devastating news that he has Motor Neurone Disease, a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. Viewers have been watching the emotional storyline unfold for months and it's been revealed that Paul will be facing his last Christmas this year.

And while there have already been difficult scenes, and more to come as Paul's deterioration with the disease, in real-life, Dan has unfortunate knowledge on MND after his grandfather was diagnosed with the disease before his death and therefore the soap star has been doing all he can to raise awareness as well as funds for the MND Association.
