Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews is brutally honest over whether she enjoyed action-packed Stephen attack

Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews didn't hold back with her thoughts when she was asked if she enjoyed the action-packed scenes she recently filmed. Fans will see the drama unfold in Friday night's (October 13) edition of the ITV soap, the last of the dramatic Super Soap Week offering.

By the end of the hour-long trip to Weatherfield, viewers will see Stephen Reid exit the cobbles but there are still more twists and turns to come as just when Corrie fans thought we’d seen the worst of sinister killer Stephen, played by Todd Boyce, he strikes again.

Cornered and trapped on the street, he turns on those he loves most and viewers will see both Jenny and his niece Sarah Barlow, played by Tina O'Brien fighting for their lives.

Having got rid of Tim and defrauded Underworld, Stephen had made his getaway it seemed and was about to board a flight. But when he realised his passport was missing at the last moment he was forced to return to Weatherfield to confront partner Jenny. However, Jenny’s not alone in the pub, having gone there after hearing intruders as Sarah has also spotted something and enters the boarded-up Rovers Retrn to investigate.

What they don't though is that they're not the only ones in the pub and with the walls closing in on him, a desperate Stephen bashes niece Sarah over the head with a bottle, what we then see is a game of cat and mouse as Jenny confronts a haunted Stephen, wanting answers about the crimes he’s committed.
