Coronation Street star's simple response as fans say 'wait' amid bullying storyline

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon had a simple yet equally sad response to the soap's bullying storyline as fans responded to the latest twist. It's been a tough few months for Liam Connor as he keeps the extent of his ordeal a secret from his mum Maria Windass, played by Samia.

Liam has been being picked on by newcomer Mason Radcliffe and his gang of mates - including Dylan Wilson - with Mason even pulling a knife on Liam during one of his horrifying bullying sessions. But it's not just in person as Liam has also been subject to abuse and torment in the comfort of his own home online.

During Monday night's (January 22) trip to the cobbles, Liam decided he would face Mason and agreed to their meeting over lunch. A worried Dylan tried to stop Liam, warning in the school corridor "He's going to kill you," knowing that Mason said Liam would be a ‘dead man’ if he turned up.

But after some words from his step-dad Gary Windass, Liam decided it was time to stand up to Mason. Outside the school, Dylan tried to convince Mason and his pals to go fro lunch, claiming it was a wast of time as Liam would just 'bottle it'. But Mason refused and Liam showed up leading to the confrontation getting underway.

As Mason encouraged Dyaln to share with Liam that he'd branded him a 'loser', Liam lost it and went to hit Dylan. Having missed, it prompted laughs from the boys around him and soon, he grabbed Dylan again except this time, he pushed him up against a wall just as Mrs Crawshaw appeared.
