Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has shared a sweet 'welcome' message to his new co-star - who has a link to pop icon Robbie Williams.

The young actor, who plays Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap, took to Instagram as new castmate Carter-J Murphy made his on-screen debut as the new Harry Platt, the son of Sarah Platt.

During Wednesday's (December 11) Corrie, Gail Platt called a family meeting to reveal her plans to wed Jesse Chadwick and leave the cobbles behind to her mother, Audrey Roberts, and her children.

Not only did the revelation that their wedding was just two weeks away cause surprise among her loved ones, but adding their plan was to head off into the sunset and spend their days in Europe created quite the atmosphere.
