Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien makes vow as she stuns fans with new look - but it's not what it seems

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has made a vow to herself to stick to in the year ahead as she stunned fans with a new look over Christmas.

The actress took to social media to give a little glimpse at how she spent the festive season this year. Tina, who is famed for playing Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, looked as glamourous ever as she dressed up for a family meal.

The soap star could be seen in a video posted to Instagram, after it was originally posted to TikTok by her actress daughter Scarlett Thomas, miming to the camera as she showed off her gorgeous outfit - consisting of a silky black top and matching black shorts under an oversized faux fur coat with glittering bows.

But it was all about Tina's hair as she went for a half-up half-down style with a black bow in the back to show off her new fringe - but it wasn't as it seemed. She also shared a picture of her son, Beau, on Christmas morning with his special gift as well as pictures of them out for dinner with Tina's husband Adam Crofts.

Captioning the post, she wrote to her fans and followers: "We managed to move house and celebrate Christmas, full on couple of weeks but worth it." It is then when she added: "I didn’t seem to remember to take many photos this year. NY res take more photos!!"

First to respond to her new look was Corrie co-star Charlotte Jordan with the Daisy Midgeley actress writing in the comments section: "Oh hi fringeeee!!!" But Tina made an admission in her response as she wrote back: "Cheeky clip in!! But thinking of going for the chop."
