Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd reinvents himself as a 'hairstylist' as he shares unusual exchange with 'some random'

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd is quite literally channelling his on-screen character as he reinvented himself as a hairstylist for an unusual exchange with 'some random'. The actor took to social media to give fans a laugh as he shared a text message exchange with someone who didn't know.

Jack, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, shared the WhatsApp chat in which his followers could see he had saved the number the contact as 'Some Random'. The person on the other end of the phone started by asking: "Why you got a pic of David Platt as your pic bro lol."

Soap star Jack then replied: "Ha, I'm a stylist I did his look." The original texter then replied: "Fair play! You did a good job. I love Jack P Shepherd lol." They also sent another message in which they asked: "What's he like? Bet he's a don!" Jack then completed the chat by replying: "He's a f***ing legend mate!!!!"

Sharing a screenshot of the texts to his Instagram Story, Jack posted an avatar of himself crying laughing while also typing: "Random messages I get on WhatsApp." And somehow, we need to know more!

It comes after Jack still appeared surprised as he recalled a 'rude' flight incident with his co-stars. The 35-year-old was speaking to Ben Price and Colson Smith during their podcast, the Sofa Cinema Club. While he didn't specify when the awkward encounter took place, Jack, did share the story, which took place with his girlfriend Hanni Treweek, as he recorded the latest episode with Ben and Colson, who play on-screen brother Nick Tilsley and Weatherfield copper Craig Tinker.
