Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank surprises fans and co-stars with peek in home garden

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank is no stranger to sharing little glimpses inside his home as he enjoys downtime away from the cobbles with his partner Jordan Coulthard and his adorable pet dogs - Colin, Jean and Doris.

But in his latest social media update, the actor posted a picture of himself beaming in his back garden as he showed off his progress with growing his own fruit and veg.

As he stood on the path of his garden surrounded by various buckets full of compost, Dan told his fans and followers: "So… I’ve basically turned my back garden into an allotment. Everything is ready for spring planting! I’ve been doing this for a number of years & get very excited about growing, cooking & eating my homegrown produce."

Sharing why this is the route for him the soap star, who is known for playing Billy Mayhew in ITV's Corrie, said: "With mass produced food being sprayed with all sorts of harmful chemicals I think this is a much healthier way to eat. Organic & natural. And yes, I’m wearing my slippers… If you can #GrowYourOwn."

And his Corrie co-stars were among those loving the peek outside his humble abode. Sally Carman-Duttine, who played Weatherfield's Abi Webster, said: "Dan, this is amazing!" Hayley Tamaddon, who previously starred in the ITV soap as Andrea Beckett, wrote: "Wow," alongside a string of love heart eyes emojis.

Former EastEnders star Jonny Labey commented: "A fine patch Brockles!!" Brookside and EastEnders actor Leon Lopez also shared: "Oh my god. This is EVERYTHING!!!!" And his fans and followers were also keen to respond.
