Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien says she's 'cool' after being seen with actress daughter amid Ryan Thomas support

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien said she was 'cool' after making it onto her teenage daughter's social media page. The actress reshared Scarlett Thomas' post as she paid tribute to her mum on Mother's Day on Sunday (March 10).

Tina shares Scarlett Thomas with her former co-star ex Ryan Thomas and fans may actually recognise her for appearing in the new series of Waterloo Road.

Scarlett joined the popular school dramas last year as Izzi alongside her uncle and cousin. Adam Thomas, Ryan's younger brother, is known for playing Donte Charles in the BBC One show and reprised his role when it was rebooted earlier this year while his son also got the role of Tommy, both of them being Donte's children.

But while Scarlett is now following in her parent's footsteps and forging her own TV career, she made sure she wasn't too independent to publically credit her mum as Mother's Day rolled around.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the young actress shared a video of herself and Tina, known for playing Sarah Barlow in ITV's Corrie, as they travelled in the back of a car. The pair pouted for the camera and gave peace signs with their hands with the clip seemingly taken back in November when they attended the glitzy RTS Awards in Manchester together.

"Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful, amazing mum and bsf so much love for u my fav girl ever @tinaob83," Scarlett typed alongside the video. And Tina was quick to reshared it to her own Instagram Story with the 40-year-old commenting; "Never felt so cool," with a red love heart and a crying laughing emoji.
