Coronation Street star Calum Lill has warned viewers that it 'won't be pleasant to watch' his upcoming scenes as Joel Deering following Lauren Bolton's return to Weatherfield. It was revealed that the teen is expecting the solicitor's baby after the truth about their relationship was laid bare.

It was during Monday night's (July 8) edition of the ITV soap that Lauren was confirmed to be alive after disappearing from Weatherfield without a trace back in February.

A missing persons case quickly turned into a murder probe after blood was found in Lauren's flat and it was Roy Cropper who became DS Lisa Swain's prime suspect and was later charged with his form Roys Rolls staff member's murder.

However, it was revealed in flashback scenes aired in May that Roy, as everyone already knew, was innocent and that it was really Joel who was her 'secret boyfriend' and had something to do with her sudden disappearance after he attacked her.

After months of pondering whether Lauren had survived after being in Joel's clutches, the character appeared distraught as she came to Roy's bedside after he collapsed, suffering a heart attack after being confronted by a group of yobs over Lauren's presumed death.

As she apologised to Roy for everything that happened during Tuesday night's (July 9) Corrie, Lauren kissed Roy's hand and had to make a swift exit. But that wasn't before she was spotted by Joel who pulled her into a family room.
