Coronation Street's Peter Ash teases what's next as Paul Foreman's tragic looming exit a 'double-edged sword'

Coronation Street star Peter Ash has teased what's next for him as he admitted he was enjoying his 'lie-ins' amid his exit from the show. The actor has been heaped with praise for his portrayal of Paul Foreman in the ITV soap following his Motor Neurone Disease storyline.

There were also difficult scenes Paul's husband Billy Mayhew discovered that Paul had been secretly planning to take matters into his own hands and decide when his life would come to an end as his symptoms caused by the life-limiting disease progress.

Peter, who was wearing a pin in honour of rugby star Rob Burrow, who died last month five years after being diagnosed with MND, picked up the award on Saturday night (July 13) at the historic Midland Hotel in Manchester as the stars of Corrie, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and EastEnders descended on the city for the first-ever Radio Times awards bash.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, Peter told us of the reaction he has received over
