Coronation Street's Kirk star 'signed up' for new job away from cobbles after reunion in Manchester

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment may have a new job on his hand after he joined an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here reunion in Manchester. The actor headed out with his wife Nicola and their daughter, Hollie, to watch Diversity perform in the city as part of their Supernova tour.

The dance group includes Jordan Banjo who Andy appeared alongside last year in South Africa for the first-ever spin-off of the ITV reality show that saw a number of former campmates have another shot at the show to be crowned the first I'm a Celeb 'legend'.

Posting a beaming snap of the pair backstage to Instagram, Andy, who is famed for playing Kirk Sutherland in ITV's Corrie, said: "It was great to catch up with my jungle pal @jordanbanjo backstage after @diversity_official Supernova, if you’ve got tickets for the show you’re in for a treat me @nicski31 and @holliewhyment10 absolutely loved it, hope the rest of the tour goes well."

But Andy was clearly inspired as the soap star later reshared a post from his daughter's TikTok to his Instagram account. It showed him at home jiggling his bottom to 'Work' by Rihanna.

"After watching @diversity_official today who were amazing, I was hoping I might get a call for the next tour @jordanbanjo @ashleybanjo," he captioned the post which was quickly responded to by the dancers.
