Coronation Street's Craig Tinker star Colson Smith begs 'go easy on me' over new role in ITV crossover

Coronation Street star Colson Smith was left begging 'go easy on me' before bagging a new role in an unexpected ITV crossover. The actor is known for playing Craig Tinker in the ITV soap and recently celebrated 12 years treading the cobbles.

But on Friday night as he headed into the weekend, Colson ditched Weatherfiled for the stage in Manchester. An Instagram post from Corrie's official Instagram account confirmed that the soap star would be joining the Loose Women on tour.

It said: "Colson is joining the Loose Women ladies tonight - live in Manchester! In his words: "Go easy on me please". The stars of the ITV lunchtime panel show are currently taking it in turns to host a live version on stage in venues up and down the country.

In an update on Saturday morning (September 9), the 25-year-old shared a string of snaps taken during his night 'on tour'. In one he could be seen waiting in the wings to go on at Manchester Opera House while another showed him getting 'mic'd up' backstage.

He also snapped a picture of the 'Loose Women Live' sign that has been glowing up on stage each night. "Thank you for having me as your @loosewomen Live!" Colson started the caption of his post before adding: "Best of luck for rest of tour!"

And fans who got to see him in action, and even those that didn't, were quick to respond. @nancyhovhanesian said: "This is wonderful you were on their live tour. You look great." @rudd_paul replied: "You were amazing @colsonjsmith brill to watch." @c.holder10 added: "Was it a
