Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley makes move as she returns to social media with family day out snaps

Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley appears to have made a conscious decision as she made a committed return to social media for the first time since being embroiled in a 'cakegate' row.

The actress did break her social media silence last week for the first time since she spoke out claims she was involved in trying to bag free cakes from a bakery for her upcoming milestone birthday.

Last Thursday (August 10), Catherine, who played Eva Price in ITV soap Corrie, posted a snap to her Instagram Story as she appeared to be working. Posting a picture of herself and an unnamed woman, Catherine posted a clapperboard emoji and wrote: "#reunited thank you @gillymediamakeup."

But the mum-of-two has now shared a look at herself enjoying a family day out on the farm as she put the bizarre row behind her. Taking to her main Instagram grid, Catherine shared a number of snaps, starting with her pouting at a baby chick she was holding, before sharing pics of her two young children seeing the farm animals.

She wrote alongside the adorable selection of photos: "Family time. We do love a farm. We’re all a bit obsessed with animals in our house. So this was our idea of heaven! And the dairy produce here is sensational (especially the butter and ice cream!)."

Cath then laughed: "Not sure how Iris feels re: Alpacas mind," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis referring to a photo of her little girl looking a bit unsure alongside the animal."

But Cath's fans and followers have not been able to respond to the sweet post as it appears she has made the decision to switch off comments after she shared the abuse she had been
