Coronation Street newcomer Luca Toolan says 'he's a lunatic' as he reveals all on schoolboy Mason

Coronation Street newcomer Luca Toolan has revealed all about his character as he makes his first appearance on screen. The actor has joined the ITV soap as Weatherfield High's Year 11 bad boy Mason.

Viewers will first be introduced to Mason in Monday night's episode of Corrie (September 11) as one of the students who was making fun of Ruby Dobbs which led to older sister Hope confronting Mason, Dylan Wilson and Liam Connor.

It doesn’t stop there though as things are set to get worse when Mason quickly takes Dylan, played by Liam McCheyne, under his wing and targets Liam, the son of Maria Windass and her late partner Liam Connor, as their new victim.

When asked what advice he'd give his character if it were real life, Luca replied: "Go to therapy, mate! He's a very angry and disturbed soul. People are like that for reasons. Hopefully, in the future, we might be able to explore a little bit
