Coronation Street fans work out Nathan Curtis' attacker as well as 'wild card'

Coronation Street fans claim to have 'worked out' who Nathan Curits' attacker is while also suggesting a 'wild card' as suspicions are cast in Weatherfield. Viewers of the ITV soap first saw Nathan back in the area last week, much to victim Bethany Platt's horror.

It had been several years since Nathan, played by actor Chris Harper, was last seen after he was jailed for grooming Bethany as part of a sex trafficking ring. But as the investigation into Lauren's disappearance - and suspected murder - continues, Nathan's unlikely appearance shook Bethany to the core.

She was initially disbelieved by her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne when she said she'd seen her former abuser during the reconstruction of Lauren's last movements. But Nathan's release from prison was later confirmed with Bethany heading to the building site nearby to confront him.

Bethany has since been struggling with knowing her abuser is back out on the streets and his return has triggered the trauma of what happened to her as a young teenager.

This was clear during Wednesday night's (May 15) Corrie and while Daniel tried to comfort her, it wasn't enough for Bethany to escape her thoughts and feelings over Nathan. As she went to rest, Daniel headed out.

Meanwhile, Sarah Barlow was heard sharing her concerns with brother David about her daughter, saying she 'couldn't lose her' again. But David made a swift exit, claiming he needed to be somewhere.
