Coronation Street fans say 'it's too upsetting' as they struggle to watch soap and make request

Coronation Street fans have said some of the soap's scenes are 'too upsetting' to watch as they issued bosses with a request. While the festive season is on the horizon, not everything is merry and bright for some of the Weatherfield residents - including poor Liam Connor.

The teen is struggling in silence as he continues to be bulled by Weatherfield High student Mason Radcliffe. Viewers of the ITV soap have been sharing their feelings towards the new character, played by newcomer Luca Toolan, after last week, the bully pulled a knife on a scared Liam, portrayed by Charlie Wrenshall.

As Liam walked home he was cornered by Mason and his friends, including Dylan, and they soon began an attack on him, throwing items at him and pouring rubbish onto him before Liam was thrown to the ground. Liam was in tears and things only got worse as when he got up, the teenager had a knife pointed at him.

Mason threatened him with the blade before eventually letting him go. Liam later confided in younger step-brother Jake that he'd been attacked and threatened. Unbeknownst to Liam, Jake contacted the police and soon, Mason was stopped in the street by PC Craig Tinker and was searched but to no avail and things have only gotten worse for Liam.

During Monday night's (November 28) Corrie, viewers saw Liam trying to convince his mum Maria to let him stay home from school, as he pretended to be sick. She didn't believe him and sent him off to school, where he found himself in Mrs Crawshaw's office over the mention of selling vapes.
