BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'I refuse' as they make same remarks just seconds into semi-final
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left sharing a 'refusal' and said they 'weren't ready' just as the semi-final got underway on Saturday night (December 9). The BBC One dance contest returned to screens for the penultimate time this series with the grand final now just a week away.
There are just four couples in the semi-final instead of the usual five. It comes after changes had to be made to the quarter-finals last weekend following Nigel Harman's sudden exit from BBC One dance contest alongside his professional dance partner Katya Jones when he suffered a rib injury that saw him end up in A&E.
The competition was already one short after Amanda Abbington's unexpected exit due to 'personal reasons' earlier on in the series. So Nigel's exit at the eleventh hour meant that the couples still performed in Musicals week for the judges' scores - which have been carried over to this weekend meaning each couple will end with a score out of 120 - as the usual vote, dance-off and elimination was abandoned.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were back in the ballroom as usual to steer the Strictly ship once more before the judges took their seats behind the judging panel ready to cast their expert eyes over not just one but two dances from each of the remaining celebrities and their professional dance partners.
