Coronation Street fans joke 'I just know' after Kit Green's 'own purchase' identified

Coronation Street fans were left making the same joke online as they spotted DC Kit Green's 'own purchase' in some of his latest scenes.

Fans of the ITV soap are still weighing up the character after actor Jacob Roberts made his debut in Weatherfield in the role earlier in 2024. He made his first appearance after Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodiac.

When she found Kit, as she posed as a cleaner before rifling through his drawers, he lied and said he wasn't adopted but it was later confirmed that Bernie had found her long-lost son.

He soon made things difficult for Bernie, even attempting to turn children Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter against her, before Paul's tragic death seemingly brought them together.

But it's not just his family ties that are complication. It's clear he rubs DS Lisa Swain up the wrong way at the station while back on the street, his relationship with Daisy Midgeley had been up and down as he covered for her when she clipped Shona Platt with Debbie Webster's stolen car, while also sleeping with Shona behind her husband David's back.

Now, Kit is back in detective mode following the fatal stabbing of Mason Radcliffe. The teen became the victim of a knife attack at the hands of his own brothers, Matty and Logan, as he prepared to leave Weatherfield for a new life in Germany following a job offer from Stu Carpenter.

It was as Kit was seen back at the station during Wednesday night's (January 8) Corrie, where Joseph Brown admitted to being behind a hoax call that delayed an ambulance in getting to treat Mason, that Corrie fans became distracted. The detective constable was seen holding a mug which read: "This is what an awesome police officers look like," with arrows
