Coronation Street fans have said they'll be 'fuming' if one character isn't saved from the blaze set to ravage the Platts' family home in upcoming scenes.

It's been just over a month since Gail Platt left Weatherfield behind for a new life in France with her husband Jesse Chadwick. But what she doesn't know is the chaos that has been unfolding for her beloved family on the cobbles - and it looks set to get deadly in a horror home inferno.

Fans of Corrie know that David Platt is currently in the bad books of notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell. It's become clear in recent weeks that he is being sought out by Harvey's thugs after taking money which belonged to him, after it was offered to David's sister Sarah Platt by Harvey's brother Damon Hay.
