Cork teenager Leona Crowley lands WSF title to turn professional

Cork's Leone Crowley will turn professional next season after winning the WSF Junior Championship in Morocco this afternoon.

The 18-year-old dominated the final, beating England's Kaylan Patel 5-0, to earn a two-year tour card for the World Snooker Tour from the start of the 2025/26 season.

Crowley only dropped two frames in his four group games and is the first Irish winner of the event.

He has won a host of honours every level at home including the national Under-21 title twice and the 2024 U21 UK Open abroad.

The teenager will join the likes of his countyman Aaron Hill, Mark Allen, Jordan Brown, Ken Doherty and Robbie McGuigan on the tour.
