McKenna to fight Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April

Aaron McKenna has landed a major slot on the biggest fight in the UK this year with former world champion Liam Smith his opponent.

Monaghan boxer McKenna will feature on the undercard of the high-profile Chris Eubank Junior vs Conor Benn fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26 April.

McKenna is unbeaten in 19 bouts and put in a career-best performance in defeating Jeovanny Estela in Japan last year.

That bout was part of a tournament in the Asian country which has been consistently delayed and led to McKenna fighting just twice since the summer of 2023.

Smith is a former WBO super welterweight champion, part of the quartet of boxers from the renowned Liverpudlian family, and was last seen in a defeat to Eubank in September 2023. He had stopped Eubank in four rounds in his previous fight earlier that year.
