Conor McGregor set to transition from UFC to bare-knuckle boxing after final two fights

Conor McGregor has hinted at a potential departure from the UFCto pursue bare-knuckle boxing after fulfilling his remaining two fights in the cage.

Currently, McGregor is awaiting a rescheduled date for his highly anticipated bout with Michael Chandler, which could potentially occur at UFC 310 on December 14. Following this, the Irish fighter would have just one more fight left on his contract, which he signed prior to his loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.

Earlier this year, McGregor invested in Bare Knuckle FC and has now expressed his intention to make his debut in the sport. Speaking at a press conference in Marbella, he said: "For me, I've got a bit of business left with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, two fights left on my contract," and added, "But for sure we have three lightweights up here and I have my eye on all of this. I'm not here up here just as a knower, player-manager I'd title myself on this."

He further emphasised his interest in bare-knuckle boxing by stating: "Make no mistake about it, this is a viable option and in my opinion it's the only option. I don't want to see, nor do I give a f***, about UFC fighter going to PFL or another promotion. You need to break it up, you need to mix it up and come and try something new to try and break into that next level of superstardom, of respect, of money and of power. We have all that at BKFC.
