Conor McGregor is 'horrible' to coach according to Henry Cejudo

Henry Cejudo has explained why he wouldn’t consider coaching Conor McGregor for his UFC return.

Although he’s been away from active competition for over two years, Henry Cejudo is still one of the most intriguing characters in all of mixed martial arts.

The former two-weight UFC champion has built a pretty unique persona for himself and even though it isn’t to everyone’s taste, it’s definitely the kind of attention-grabber that has helped ‘Triple C’ to become one of the biggest names in the sport.

The face of the fight game, however, is still the one and only Conor McGregor.

The Irishman hasn’t been seen inside the Octagon since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier last summer but in recent weeks, he’s been teasing a possible return to the cage through a series of entertaining training videos.

Cejudo, meanwhile, hasn’t always been the biggest fan of Conor’s work, and he’s made that known in the form of countless jibes via social media.

During a recent Q&A, he gave a very direct answer when asked whether or not he’d consider working with ‘Notorious’.

“Hell no. Conor McTapper is absolutely horrible, he’s terrible, he makes me sick, and that’s all there is to it. He can do me a favour and he can bend the damn knee.”

Cejudo has previously noted that he believes Conor needs to find a teacher that could “really teach him”, before suggesting that he’d like to see him take on Jorge Masvidal if and when he does return.

Back in April, it was announced that Henry Cejudo would be re-entering the USADA testing pool with the aim of eventually making his own comeback – whether it be at bantamweight or featherweight.
