Conor Bradley delivers verdict on Liverpool team mate Owen Beck's Bolton Wanderers transfer

Conor Bradley is looking forward to playing with Owen Beck at loan club Bolton Wanderers and received a call from his best friend to let him know of the Whites interest before signing.

The 20-year-old became Bolton's fifth acquisition of the penultimate day of the transfer window as he joined from the Premier League side on loan for the campaign. He had been on loan at Portuguese side Famalicao, but that was cut short so he could join Bolton.

He follows Eoin Toal and Jack Iredale joining on permanent deals from Derry City and Cambridge United this summer. Defender and Beck's team-mate Bradley has joined from Liverpool, while goalkeeper James Trafford has been signed up again from Manchester City.

Bradley is looking forward to playing with Beck, who he does not think will take too long to get up to speed with at Bolton. He revealed the conversation the duo had before Beck signed as the Anfield club have been happy with how he is doing at Wanderers.

He said: “It’s brilliant to have him here. We have been best pals since I went to Liverpool so obviously to have him here is great. I am sure he will start playing as soon as possible.

“He knows me so that will make going into the dressing room a bit easier, and I am sure the lads will love him as well.

“I don’t think he will be too bad. He has played a couple of pre-season games in Portugal.

“He is a great lad and he works really hard, so I am sure it will be no time at all before he gets back and is playing for us.

“He gave me a little call to say Bolton were interested but he had been watching the games anyway.
