'Chaos' - How Bolton Wanderers aim to cancel out Sheffield Wednesday & Plymouth costly moments

Ian Evatt believes Bolton Wanderers have tried to coach the 'chaos' moments that have cost them so far this season better and concedes it is difficult to deal with but hopes the Whites have put those times behind them.

Wanderers have lost twice so far in League One this campaign. They have tasted 2-0 defeats at home to Sheffield Wednesday and away to Plymouth Argyle.

Both clashes have seen Wanderers come out on the wrong side of fine margins which have proved crucial. Moments in games in both boxes have cost the Whites.

Against the Owls, defender Conor Bradley missed a gilt-edged chance at one end which could have seen Bolton go in front. Five minutes later, Wanderers were 2-0 down and the game was as good as over as the Whites conceded two quickfire goals.

Versus the Pilgrims, Wanderers could have gone ahead but were unable to finish their chances created, before defensive errors saw the West Country side go in front. It proved crucial as the Whites were left to rue missed opportunities.

Moments of 'chaos' are what have costed Wanderers in those encounters against two sides expected to be competing near the top of the table come the start of May. MK Dons finished third last season and will have aspirations of being up there again this campaign.

Evatt says work have been done on coaching the chaotic moments that can appear in games, admitting they are hard to react to. But he has seen positive signs on that front in recent performances and hopes the practice they have put in pays off.
