'Confident' Rangers advertise tickets for fan snaps with Viaplay Cup days BEFORE Aberdeen final

Rangers got fans talking when they began advertising tickets for punters to get a picture with the Viaplay Cup...five days BEFORE the final takes place.

But after tickets quickly 'sold out,' the venture was taken down after seemingly being posted in error on the Edmiston House website. Philippe Clement's team face Aberdeen at Hampden this weekend looking to win the first piece of silverware of the season and keep their undefeated start to life under the Belgian going. They travel to the national stadium in a good place having eaten into Celtic's advantage at the weekend.

Fans are feeling confident of bringing the trophy back to Glasgow, but confident enough to book tickets for a picture with the trophy before a ball has even been kicked? Fans spotted that Rangers had put tickets for snaps with the trophy on Tuesday morning as they advertised 'Viaplay Cup Trophy and Photo' for Monday, December 18. That's the day after they face the Dons at Hampden with one fan noting on social media the club had 'jumped the gun'.

The description for the advertisement read only 'blurb goes here,' a clear sign that it was posted in error. It was also accompanied by a graphic saying it was SOLD OUT, but further down the page advertised 'plenty of tickets' remaining. Another fan jokingly wrote: 'There's Aberdeen's team talk sorted...' hinting the Dons might be motivated by the show of confidence in advertising the tickets so early.
