Compelling reason why Celtic no goal was 'WRONG' goes public as Brendan Rodgers told key claim isn't right

Former Rangers star Neil McCann launched an impassioned defence of Steven McLean and his linesman after Celtic watched VAR chalk off their would-be leveller in defeat to Hibs.

Alan Muir and his VAR team ruled out the goal after they deemed Alistair Johnston's cross which led to Daizen Maeda netting came after the ball was completely over the line. The incident left Brendan Rodgers bemused and he is seeking clear evidence which shows Muir was correct to over rule the officials on the field. Pundit McCann reckons the Celtic boss was right to feel aggrieved.

Speaking to Sportscene, McCann said: "You can't tell, if there is a fraction of the ball overhanging the line then it is still in play. Both the officials have made an on-field decision that they think a bit of the ball is still in play. Therefore, I believe the goal should stand. And he kept his flag down, which tells me that he felt it was in. Not all of the ball was out. So if it's the case, then you've got to go and review it with VAR. But then you're taking an angle from the 18-yard line. If you're taking the angle from the 18-yard line, and you can tell me that you can
