'The GOAT' - Manchester United fans hail Cristiano Ronaldo after breaking another record vs Tottenham

Manchester United fans once again hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest of all time after seeing him break yet another record in his phenomenal career.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner brought up another milestone in his career as he broke the FIFA record for the most goals in competitive matches in football history. Having equalled Josef Bican’s record of 805 earlier on against Tottenham, Ronaldo then went on to surpass the mark with his 806th competitive goal.

Having been a doubt to face Spurs in the week leading up to the game, Ronaldo wasted no time in marking his return to the side in spectacular fashion. He gave United the lead with a brilliant early strike, thundering the ball into the top corner from 25 yards.

Spurs worked their way back into the game through Harry Kane’s penalty after Alex Telles’ handball. But it didn’t take long for Ronaldo to steal the spotlight once again.

The Portuguese superstar got on the end of Jadon Sancho’s ball from the left to turn home from close range and give United the lead at half-time. In the process, he added yet another record to his outstanding career.

And United fans hailed his greatness once again as Ronaldo showed why he has been one of the sport’s greatest over the years.

Ronaldo will hope his goals can help United to what would be a crucial win over Spurs in the battle for fourth in the Premier League. United can ill-afford any more slip-ups after being overtaken by Arsenal last weekend, and they’re on the right road to getting their hopes back on track.
