Manchester United 'plotting moves' for Robert Lewandowski and Richarlison and other rumours

Manchester United are said to be eyeing moves for Everton forward Richarlison and Bayern Munich icon Robert Lewandowski, according to multiple reports.

United's attacking options have been weakened by injuries in recent weeks and Ralf Rangnick opted to play without a recognised striker on Sunday against Manchester City. Jadon Sancho found the back of the net but their struggles up front were laid bare as their attacking threat was non-existent in the second half.

Interim manager Rangnick is set to undertake a consultancy role at the end of the season. The German tactician has previously outlined the club's need for an attacker with Edinson Cavani out of contract in the summer and Cristiano Ronaldo entering the twilight of his career.

Caught Offside have reported that Richarlison could be on his way to Old Trafford. The publication suggests that Matt Judge, United's head of transfers, has already held discussions with the 24-year-old.

Richarlison has scored 42 Premier League goals for Everton since his £35m move to Goodison Park from Watford in 2018 and has established himself as an integral part of Frank Lampard's plans in their quest for survival. Further to the report, it has been suggested that United could be forced to spend in excess of £60m to bring him up the M62 to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, BILD have reported that United have made their 'interest known' and that they are ready to submit an offer for Lewandowski.
