Clyde boss Ian McCall hoping for 'five, six, seven' new signings as he builds squad

Ian McCall hopes to make up to seven new signings as he tries to take his new-look Clyde up the League Two table.

And the Clyde boss says the 3-2 win over Bonnyrigg Rose – his first league win since taking over – sets the standard and has to kick-start their struggling season.

After Rose’s Conor Doan had struck the bar, Connor Young tapped in Logan Dunachie’s cross to open the scoring in 12 minutes and Dunachie doubled that lead in 30 minutes, becoming only the fourth defender in Clyde’s history to score in three consecutive games as he headed in Liam Scullion’s corner.

However, Clyde held out for what was only their second league win all season, reducing the gap on second-bottom Forfar to five points, though the Hamilton-based club have a game in hand.

New signings Lee Hamilton, Craig Howie and Robbie Leitch were handed their first starts, while Raymond Grant returned to the club, alongside Barry Cuddihy.

McCall says more signings are in the pipeline, while others may leave.
