Clyde add three as summer rebuild continues

Clyde have announced three new signings as they rebuild for next season’s assault on League Two.

Boss Ian McCall has snapped up former Gretna and Forfar goalkeeper Jay Kennedy, 20, on a one-year deal, having come in on a short-term deal in March, while midfielder Dom Docherty, 26, has joined from Annan Athletic.

Former Queen of the South and Airdrie defender Paul McKay, 27, has signed a two-year deal.

Midfielder Liam Scullion has also signed a one-year extension.

That takes Clyde’s summer signings up to four so far, adding to ex-Rangers, Ayr and Queen of the South defender Jordan Houston, while nine players have extended their deals

Goalkeeper Neil Parry, defender Erik Sula, midfielders Euan Cameron and Conor Scullion and striker Connor Young will leave the club at the end of their contracts.

Defenders Logan Dunnachie, Lee Hamilton, Peter Grant and Josh McCulloch, and midfielder Robbie Leitch are under contract for next season.

Loan players Jordan Allan (Falkirk), Cammy Ballantyne (St Johnstone), Alex King (Morton), Kian Leslie (Kilmarnock) and Chris McGinn (Hamilton Accies) have returned to their clubs.

A club spokesperson said: “The club would like to thank all those moving on from Clyde for their efforts and wish them the very best in their future careers.”
