Club has plan to make Tottenham star ‘fall in love’ with them before launching summer raid
La Liga outfit Valencia are hoping to make Bryan Gil ‘fall in love’ with them before launching a summer move for the Tottenham loanee, as per a report.
Gil came through the ranks at Sevilla before making his first-team debut in January 2019. He went on to make 21 appearances for the club in all competitions, registering two goals and two assists.
The winger’s exciting displays at Sevilla earned him a transfer to Tottenham in the summer. The north London outfit, then managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, spent £22.5million to bring Gil to the Premier League.
However, he failed to make a significant impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first part of the season. Gil did not complete a full 90 minutes in the league, mainly relying on substitute appearances for game time.
The 21-year-old’s fortunes did not improve after the arrival of Antonio Conte either. As such, he was loaned out to Valencia for the rest of the campaign.
The wide man is yet to open his account at the Mestalla Stadium. However, he has put in a series of top displays and is already liked by supporters.
