Christopher Jullien tells Celtic he's going nowhere as Hoops play hardball over Alexandro Bernabei

Christopher Jullien has told Celtic he’s ready to stay and fight for his place this season.

The £7million French centre-back is fully fit again after more than a year out with a knee injury.

He returned to Ange Postecoglou ’s squad in February but struggled for game-time, unable to shift first-choice defensive pair Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt.

Record Sport understands Celtic are keen to land Bernabei for around half of that fee and reports in Argentina suggested a deal could be close.

The defender has been left out of Lanus’ last two league games and isn’t expected to be included in their squad for a game against Colon on Sunday.

Postecoglou is in the market for a left-back to provide competition to Scotland’s Greg
