Christoph Waltz shows his Celtic colours against Rangers as A lister joins buzzing Joe Hart who explodes with emotion

Christoph Waltz was in attendance at Parkhead as the Oscar winner took to the Paradise turf pre-match.

It was fitting that the A lister was snapped in Glasgow's east end at the premier game in club football as the curtain goes up on the first Old Firm derby of the season. Philippe Clement and Brendan Rodgers will meet multiple times across the campaign with the Belgian still looking to make that mark against the Hoops with the champions dominant in recent times.

Waltz – best known for roles in the likes of Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained – was the surprise face pre-match as he showed his Celtic colours against Rangers. But one individual well known to the Hoops faithful and the club is Joe Hart. He hung up his gloves in the summer but was back for a quick return on derby day.

Hart has taken up a spot on the sofa for Match of the Day as he delivers his expertise on the game having played at the top level both for club and country at the likes of Manchester City and Celtic and with England. He's always been a passionate character – even when not directly involved.

Ahead of the early kick off, the 37-year-old could be seen exploding with emotion in the tunnel as he embraced a number of his former team-mates. A big character in the dressing room for Rodgers and Co last season and across his three seasons at the club, true to form he could be seen giving all his pals a morale-boosting hug and motivational word in the ear.
