Christian Horner breaks silence on Netflix documentary with Geri Halliwell

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has rubbished rumours that he and his wife, Geri Halliwell, are set to star in a reality TV show.

Speculation had been rife that the couple were in discussions with Netflix for a fly-on-the-wall documentary, similar to the Beckhams', showcasing their life away from the Formula One circuit and Geri's Spice Girl past. Halliwell has publicly supported her husband amidst controversy surrounding Red Bull at the start of the 2024 F1 season. Horner was accused of inappropriate behaviour but was later cleared, although the incident led to questions about his future and that of key team members Max Verstappen, Helmut Marko and Adrian Newey.

The anonymous accuser has since appealed the decision, following an internal investigation which found Horner innocent of any misconduct while leading the F1 team. Halliwell made a public display of support for her husband at the season's opening Grand Prix in Bahrain, where she was seen holding hands with and kissing the 50 year old English executive.

The prospect of a docu-series that was rumoured to ignite a bidding frenzy, with Netflix reportedly showing interest, has been firmly dismissed by Horner. He expressed his surprise at the notion of his family life with Halliwell being showcased globally and questioned the need for additional exposure.

"There is a lot being written about different things, but there are absolutely no plans to do a family documentary," Horner clarified during the Chinese GP. "Netflix do enough, and you see enough of the behind-the-scenes on that. So where that report has come from, I have absolutely no idea."
